MRI ULTRAFAST
What is this ?
MRI Ultrafast is one of the stalwarts of the current generation of MRI that allows scanning at a very fast speed of up to 100 milliseconds.The reason behind such accelerated speed is the technological advancements of multi-slice imaging, which uses multiband excitation which dramatically reduces the scan time.
MRI Ultrafast has proven to be extremely helpful for functional MRI studies by improving the statistical data availability of neural networks, and in diffusion-based fiber tractography to visualize structural connections in the human brain. This is also a boon to claustrophobic patients, who, even before realizing, finds the test to be over.
Why do I need this :
MRI Ultrafast is especially helpful in attaining:
- Distinct images of cardiac MRI.
- Contrast-enhanced angiograms.
- Perfusion.
- Spectroscopy.
- Anatomical images of the fetus.
- Entire brain measurement is obtained by axonal tractography.
- Neuro-imaging of brain connectivity with fMRI and diffusion MRI.
Services offered :
Our certified MRI technologists will prefer you to lie on your back, and if it is not possible for you to do that, we will try placing a bolster under your knees to take the pressure off.
Some patients might feel claustrophobic during MRI Ultra fast. To relieve this, we have excellent facilities of rendering lavender aromatherapy and/ or listening to music so that you may feel as relaxing and comfortable as you are in your home.
What shall I expect :
The MRI technologist will be speaking to you throughout the entire process, to provide you with proper breathing instructions and to ensure your psychological well-being.
After the MRI is performed, all the reports are reviewed and interpreted thoroughly by the attending radiologist for further diagnosis and medication.
MRI Ultra fast generally takes 30 to 45 minutes.
